Custom eLearning and Training Content Development | K & A Performance

Services Training content

Training content built without the wait

Senior instructional designers plus an AI-assisted production pipeline compress timelines that normally run months. We are never the bottleneck. Your review cycles set the schedule, and we write the review turnarounds into the statement of work so the timeline is honest before anyone commits to it.

Built for learning and development teams, HR, and training managers who have a backlog, a deadline, and a subject matter expert with about an hour to spare.

Where we are deepest

Construction and skilled trades

Safety, process, and craft training written by people who know a jobsite is not a classroom, validated by a working project manager.

Finance and accounting

Technical content reviewed by a licensed CPA, with the rigor that regulated topics and continuing education demand.

Health and wellness

Nutrition, movement, and recovery content written for real people, hedged where the research is hedged, and never a substitute for a clinician.

Everyone else with a backlog

Onboarding, compliance, systems training, and the fifty-slide deck that should have been a module years ago.

What we build

Full courses

Multi-module programs with a learning path, practice, and assessment, built to run in your LMS on day one.

Standard modules

A single topic taught properly: objectives, teaching, practice, check. The unit most training libraries are actually made of.

Microlearning

Five to ten minutes on one thing, built for the moment someone needs it rather than the quarter they are assigned it.

Job aids and performance support

Checklists, decision trees, and reference pieces that live next to the work instead of in a course catalog.

Assessments

Scenario-based checks that measure whether someone can do the thing, not whether they can recognize the sentence about it.

Conversion and refresh

Existing slide decks, PDFs, and aging modules rebuilt as current, interactive, trackable content.

Accessibility remediation

Training you already own, brought up to WCAG 2.1 AA and tested in a real LMS rather than an authoring preview.

Your LMS, your data

Content ships in the package your system already accepts. Tell us the LMS and the version, and the build is tested inside it before you see the invoice for it.

  • SCORM 1.2
  • SCORM 2004
  • xAPI
  • Plain HTML

Delivered into your own LMS. We do not host your content.

We never receive learner data. Completion, scores, and identities stay in your system.

Standard blocks stay editable by your team. Custom interactive components come back to us, and we say which is which before the project starts.

How we work

Six stages, in this order, on every project. You always know which one you are in and what you owe us before the next one starts.

  1. Discovery

Audience, objective, constraints, and what your LMS actually supports. We leave with a scope we can both point at.

  2. Outline

Objectives mapped to content, in the order a learner needs them. Your subject matter expert signs off here, before anything expensive happens.

  3. Storyboard

Every screen, every interaction, every assessment item, in writing and in wireframe. Changes are cheap at this stage and we say so.

  4. Alpha

The working build, reviewed by our instructional designer and your reviewer against the storyboard.

  5. Beta and LMS testing

Loaded into your real LMS, on real accounts, tested for tracking, completion, keyboard, and screen reader. Not in an authoring preview.

  6. Final delivery

The package, the source, and a written note of anything your team can and cannot edit later.

Accessibility, tested

Client content is built and delivered to WCAG 2.1 AA. Not claimed against it, tested against it, by a person, in the place your learners will actually open it.

We audit websites too. Our accessibility audit service applies the same passes to the site your training sits behind, and this site publishes its own accessibility statement so you can read what we hold ourselves to before you hire us to hold anything else to it. The owner is pursuing IAAP CPACC certification.

Every build gets these five passes

  • Keyboard alone: every interaction reachable and operable, in a sensible order, with a focus indicator you can see.
  • Screen reader: read through with a real screen reader, not a checker, so labels and reading order make sense out loud.
  • Contrast: measured, not eyeballed, across text, controls, and states.
  • Motion: reduced-motion preferences respected in every animation.
  • In the LMS: all of the above verified inside your actual LMS, because authoring previews lie.

Yes, we use AI. Here is exactly how.

AI-assisted authoring, with a human instructional designer reviewing and validating every output before it reaches you.

Your confidential material is never entered into a tool that trains on submitted content.

Any restriction you need, from specific tools to no AI at all, is written into the statement of work.

Three ways to work together

Which one fits is a conversation about your backlog and your calendar, not a menu you pick from cold.

Fixed project

Defined deliverables, defined scope, a fixed price agreed before work starts. Best when you know what you need and when you need it.

Monthly pod

Dedicated capacity for a defined period. Best for a team with a backlog that never quite gets to the top of anyone's week.

Retainer bench

On-call capacity for overflow and rush work. Best when the volume is unpredictable but the deadlines are not.

See the work

Need something to forward internally? Our capabilities one-pager (PDF) covers what we build, how it ships, the accessibility standard, and how to reach us.

Tell us what you need built

The form asks the questions a first call would ask, so the reply is useful instead of a request for more information. Alex reads every inquiry himself and answers within one business day.

Training inquiry

Four questions are required. The rest just make the reply better.
